01 Mar: Greece Part 2

We all know just how good the food of Greece has always been, but was anyone else as surprised as we were by the quality of wines served up at the last Greek dinner? We were so taken by the standard that we have had them on the list at Volpino ever since. Emma has been busy upping her knowledge of the varieties, ready to drop some more surprises, whilst the chefs have been playing with all things Grecian in preparation for round 2.

01 Mar: Italy vs Australia

And we’re back for 2019. Our first wine dinner is a slight jig on our standard. Rather than focussing on a single country or region, it will be a comparative affair. Italy versus Australia. Not a battle per se, but rather a night of friendly competition and comparison. How does a Sangiovese from the King valley compare to it’s Tuscan rival? And how does the food compliment those varietals? Set across five courses, created and prepared by our chefs Nathan and Emily with matching wines from our Somm-in- Chief, Emma Mordue.

05 Feb: Valentines Day Dinner

South Beach will be offering a Five Course Set menu for Valentine’s Day. The menu will be a showcase all of the beautiful seafood that the Peninsula and Australia have to offer.
(A vegetarian menu will also be available)

21 Sep: Champagne & Sparkling Wines of the World

For something different we will be hosting a cocktail style function celebrating all things bubbles. A free roaming affair on a weekend evening. Come along and enjoy the start of the festive season in a very different format. Emma, Nathan and Matt have worked hard to come up with some great matches for this one. Don’t miss out!

16 Jul: Hearty Reds

What better way to celebrate winter? Delicious food and full-bodied wine matched beautifully by Emma Mordue, Nathan and Matt. This time around, we are teaming up with the guys from Sante wines who are providing a ripper wine list for the evening. As usual, a series of canapes will kick off the night, followed by a myriad of courses. Come along and enjoy a fabulous night and kick those winter blues. 12 Jul: Local Beer Dinner

Based on the excellent beer selection available on the Mornington Peninsula we have decided to offer a beer and food night. Each course will be matched with beers from one of the local breweries. This will be a fun night, hosted by Sommelier Emma Mordue with food prepared by our gun chefs, Nathan and Matt. These nights offer a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded locals or to simply enjoy a night out with friends. Tickets are limited, so book now.

Since 2016, Volpino has been hosting exclusive wine nights dinners with a focus on delivering the perfect experience for wine & food lovers. These evenings have now moved to South Beach Project and are synonymous with a five courses food discovery and paired wine inspired by the region represented on the night.
